How Long Should You Wear a Faja Each Day?
One of the most common questions we get: how long do I need to wear my faja to see results? The answer depends on your goal — here's a complete breakdown.
For Everyday Body Contouring
For the best results with everyday wear, aim for 6–8 hours per day, 5–6 days a week. Most women wear their faja during work hours or while out, then remove it at home in the evenings.
For Post-Surgery Recovery (BBL, Lipo, Tummy Tuck)
- Weeks 1–4: 22–24 hours per day (remove only to shower)
- Weeks 4–8: 12–16 hours per day
- Weeks 8–12: 8–12 hours per day or as your surgeon recommends
For Postpartum Recovery
Most women begin wearing a postpartum faja at 4–6 weeks after a vaginal birth, or 6–8 weeks after a C-section (with doctor clearance). Start with 4–6 hours per day and work up to 8 hours as comfort allows.
How Long Until You See Results?
With consistent daily wear of 6–8 hours:
- 2 weeks: Improved posture, reduced back pain
- 4–6 weeks: Visible waist definition when wearing the faja
- 8–12 weeks: Lasting body contouring effects with consistent wear
Can You Sleep in a Faja?
For post-surgery patients, yes — your surgeon may recommend 24/7 wear in Stage 1. For everyday wearers, sleeping in your faja is generally not recommended as your body needs time to rest from compression.
